Q: What is the procedure to collect the Bill of Lading (BL)?

A: Please present a document showing the B/L number (such as a B/L copy) to collect the original B/L at our counter during business hours only, after the vessel's departure.

Q: What documents are required for B/L exchange/collection?

A: Please present a document showing the B/L number, such as a B/L copy.

Q: What is the procedure for a Surrendered B/L?

A: The exporter must endorse the back of all original B/L and affix the company stamp then return the endorsed original B/L(Surrender) to the shipping line or shipping agent.

Q: Is there an amendment fee for changing B/L details?

A: Any B/L amendments made after the vessel's departure will incur a fee 1,500 THB per set, per time.

Q: Is there a fee for re-issung a B/L?

A: Any B/L re-issuance after confirmation will incur a fee of 1,500 THB per set, per time.

Q: Where is the B/L exchange counter located?

A: You may contact to collect the documents (Original B/L or Sea Waybill) at

K Line (Thailand) Co., Ltd., located at Wall Street Tower, M Floor, Surawong Road, Bangkok.

Q: Are there any late pickup charges for the B/L?

A: Kindly note that a surcharge of THB 1,500 will be applied for late collection of the Bill of Lading (B/L), counting from the day after the vessel departure from Laem Chabang Port.

A: K Line (Thailand) is open from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, and remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Q: Is it possible to collect the B/L before the vessel departs?

A: K Line (Thailand) reserves the right to withhold release of the Original B/L or Sea Waybill prior to vessel departure to prevent any risk arising from incorrect information.

Q: What is the process if the Original B/L is lost?

A: In the event that the Original Bill of Lading (OB/L) is lost, the following standard procedures must be strictly followed:

  1. Immediately notify K Line (Thailand) Ltd. to place a hold on the original B/L, preventing any unauthorized use for cargo release.
  2. Submit a duly signed Letter of Indemnity (LOI).
  3. Provide a Bank Guarantee ~(this is mandatory).
  4. Request re-issuance of a new set of Original B/L (Re-issued OB/L), subject to a service fee of THB 1,500 per set.

Q: Is it possible to collect the D/O before the vessel arrives?

A: K Line (Thailand) Ltd. reserves the right not to release the Delivery Order (D/O) prior to the vessel’s arrival at Laem Chabang Port in order to prevent any risks arising from incorrect information.

Q: What is the process if the D/O is lost?

A: In case the Delivery Order (D/O) is lost, the following standard procedures shall be followed:

  1. Immediately notify K Line (Thailand) Ltd. We will arrange to cancel the original D/O and inform LCB terminal accordingly.
  2. The customer must issue a letter requesting the reissuance of the D/O.
  3. Request re-issuance of a new set of D/O, subject to a service fee of THB 1,500 per set.

Q: For import cargo, is it possible to amend the BL at destination?

A: We unable to revised as your request. Please inform to shipper amend data at origin port.

Q: Until when can the Import B/L be Enter B/L?

A: The customer can enter the Import B/L within 2 working days before to the vessel’s arrival at Laem Chabang Port.

Q: After the vessel has arrival, is it possible to amend the Manifest?

A: See below

  • The customer can amend the Manifest within 48 hours after the vessel has arrival. The amendment fee is 500 THB/BL.
  • If the request is made after 48 hours, the customer must process a SHOULD BL and pay the penalty directly to Customs (the penalty is approximately 1,500 THB per set).
